Tinos took its name from King Tinos, son of Koukonos or Kyknos (swan), the first inhabitant of the island and leader of a group of Lelegians, who lived here in prehistoric times. The swan symbol is inspired by the characteristic patterns of the dovecotes, which can be found all over the island. Decorative shapes that form small outdoor nests, where pigeons rest and are protected. This way we indicate the concept of hospitality, relaxation, and safety of the traveler. We also associate the premium value of the service with the fact that the dovecote has been a symbol of noble origin and economic power.
